Go to Northern Tool and buy an engine hoist and an engine stand. It should be under $200 for all of it.

tax refund sir....and as for now the plan is to have the engine torn apart and re-build it slowly and the correct way (So the engine wont have to come out again) and in the end hopefully have 400hp....thats as much as I can say for now...Still working on plans and all that jazz.

I would be more worried about your tranny exploding.

              PM me for:
              Sandblasting(I use glass beads)
              Diesel repairs or performance products.

yeah.....It will if I drive it hard as fuck....My tranny however is quite tough, I should be fine until I can build it up and make it stronger so im not really worried.

so you will only put 200whp to the ground of the supposed 400whp through a weak tranny?

JN210............. make z31 your buddy, he can build a jatco to take that easy enough ....... He has a spare tranny, give him some cash and build one with some internal work....... more clutches, good bands, valve work, ect.

and why the hell do you want to tear your motor down? The one we blew this year had around 200,000 miles on it, and it broke from stupidity. BTW, i beleive it was making close to 400whp when it went.
Quit thinking your going to build some fully forged wonder motor and just do your turbo stuff, leave it at that. Beleive me, the motor is the FAR least of your worries.
On one hand, that stock turbo wont get you much over 200whp
On another, the stock trans, like you have, will slip under a slightly built NA motor, we've been there. And dont even think you will make it out of your driveway with a turbo, not gonna happen.

I agree, ppl who are new to turbos need to start out with a stock block and get used to it and have all the issues worked out, then build the motor later when you are ready to make more power. Im guessing the 250 whp will be plenty for you to handle this year and you can always upgrade later. Get the car running turbod and then work out all the kinks before going all out on the motor. Trust me, it always costs more than you expected, and to max out the stock long block, you will need to spend a hell of alot.

Alright, I spose if I just get it turboed I will be fine. The reason that I want it built right away is because I dont want to have to pull the engine again...but oh well, I can deal.
