I seem to remember a local cobra that only put down 538whp........ With a swapped blower.Probe this needs to dyno his L, that thing was SICK!
With stock fuel pumps and only 13psi. Had he done a pulley swap on either of the blowers it would have been a different story.

As well intended as this is, I believe that it's just one more thing the government is doing to try to control the people...taking the cars has no benefit whatsoever. All it does is create a hatred toward the police departments. This article is proof that the government will take what is rightfully yours and use it for its own purposes. I think our Founding Fathers (edit: omg spelling error freaks out) would dispise what is going on in this situation...It's using people...Impounding a car for being stupid is one thing...Taking it or crushing it is far worse...
How many more deaths occur with drunk driving every year compared to street racing? If this is the case, every time somebody is written up for a DUI thier car should then be crushed and/or used by law inforcement. All this is doing is bringing attention to an area that isn't the biggest problem the U.S. has on its streets. The punishment is way harsher than the crime itself...
BTW, this isn't supporting street racing...It's mearly pointing out the problems with this system.

Keep all of your receipts at least.

I have heard of ppl getting them checked in the cities, and i have seen videos of ppl out of state getting check (cali). And i assume you paid with paypal hjermy?? I would at least save the PM's and anythign you have with it.

i might have a pay pal invoice, i kept all of them for everything. i wonder if that would work since all it says is who the money went to

It is a slim chance you would even get searched, but in case you did, hang on to anything you can in case you need it.

I'm with torbs on this one, the rationalization for taking street racers cars is bunk, with the exception of stolen ones and one with stolen parts. Even tho I just finished with my DUI I agree that if its true for street racers it should be true for DUIs. The only differance that comes to mind is that taking a street racer's car is much more devastating to him because of all the blood, sweat, and tears that goes into them.
John street legal means all the parts meet or are exempt from CARB, and other emissions certification bureaus, regulations. Headers and aftermarket cats usually reduce the emissions, so would the tune as the car would run more efficiently. I thought that was you in the civic, the metal gave it away.

Even if a part is CARB legal, unless you pay a shop that is CARB approved to install, it looses its CARB certification.
Your talking about a civic makes no sense.
