They (with the I-Force 5.7 liter) have the highest towing capacity in their class (10,300 lbs), most power (381 HP), most torque (401 ft/lbs), etc... Aside from going diesel or 3/4 ton I didn't see anything remotely close to them. Now, if you are talking about the pre-2007 models, then you have a legit argument. They were basically over-sized mid-sized trucks.
Chevy has 315/338 HP/TQ and towing capacity of 8500 (w/o going to the 6.0 liter...in which case it goes to 10,500).
Ford is 300/365 hp/tq w/ 8200 towing capacity.
Dodge has a towing capacity of 8500 lbs and 302/329 hp/torque.
Nissan is 317/385 hp/tq and tows 9500 lbs
Honda is 247/245 hp/tq and 5000 lbs towing capacity. (BUT IT HAS VTEC YO!!)

Sorry chuck gotta call you out on the towing thing too, the 5.4 F150 can pull 11,000 pounds. That Toyota is garbage IMO, lump it in with the Ridgeline and Mitsubishi Raider as far as usefulness goes. I saw one pulling a 5th wheel camper once the front end was nearly off the gound, that camper was a smaller one and couldn't have weighed more then 8,500 pounds. I got a couple of confused looks from the old couple in the truck as I laughed out loud at that one.

The older (06 and older) Tundra's I'll agree with you on, but the 07+ will tow with the best of them. Car & Driver seems to think it outperformed everything in it's class when they awarded it truck of the year. But what do they know?

That is car and driver Chuck. They are dumb fuckers when it comes to reviewing trucks. If it is American they don't like it.

I believe most of this was worked out in the MY08 production, I could be wrong though.

Camshafts for sure have been taken care of (early production error), bed bounce seems to be happening to people on concrete, but I've yet to have it happen, haven't found anything on the cracked tail lights though....I don't/won't own a snowmobile and if I buy a bike, I will drive it and not the truck...so those are not important issues to me.
