Did it have mustang rims painted to match the car? Hood pins? If not then no.
-
my bad, when i said late model i meant like the "older model" version.
but im almost possitive that it did have mustang rims painted black, couldnt tell if it had hood pins or not.

I never did think of you as a Cougar guy... you more fit the lifted up 4x4 truck profile...
Me too but I kinda need something a little more practical. I've been looking at a 1999-2003 BMW 3 series but I don't know we will just have to see. -
If you're a big guy an E46 3 series may not fit the bill. Have you ever driven one? My wife is 6'1 and she found she couldn't get a comfortable driving position. Knees would hit the under-dash trim if she was close enough to rest her wrists on the noon position of the (not-very-adjustable) steering wheel.
Also be aware that there was a narrow year range where BMW completely messed up the steering of the E46 cars. Look for "e46 steering problem" and I suspect you'll find the relevant information.
(btw: E46 is the internal chassis code of BMW 3 series from 1999 until 2006 or so, when the body style and chassis changed. Kind of like Fox, SN95, etc represent different generations of Mustangs. Wikipedia i'm sure explains all of this as well, but I figured i'd offer a bit of explanation in this post).

There is always an e46 forsale in town. Try FF Fisher or Imports Plus.
The 5 series will definitely be bigger. The comparable generation of car is the "E39", from 1997-2003. If you get them with the inline six engines (525, 528, 530), they're fantastic cars. The V8s (540i) suffer a bit reliability wise. The former are also easier to find with a manual transmission, which is the only kind of BMW you should consider.
Unless you were talking about a 323, the 525/528/530 engines are absolutely identical to the motors in the 325/328/330.
