Not sure what you are asking....you can put them in whatever housing you choose (assuming it is the same bulb style as what you were replacing), but to have the proper lighting/cut-off, you should have housings that are specifically designed for HID's. Jim explains it better in the thread below:

okay, lets say i purchased an HID kit and wanted to put them into a 300ZX. What are all the steps that i need to go through to 100% properly install them without glare, sharp cutoff, and especially keeping the housing safe. do i need to replace the housing itself? also the retrofitting......what is needed to do that and how is it done? I just want them done right the first time. Thank You all that help me out with my rediculous questions!

I know my hella headlights are not designed for HIDs. Do i have HIDs in them? NO. I was looking at getting PIAA HID driving lights for my jeep.

There are alot of people that do HID retrofits in the Nissan world, maybe not the hondas.

Projector or no projector, doesn't matter. A HID bulb does not stay in the same location as a standard halogen bulb, so the beam is not reflected in the spots it was suppose to.

You are very right, but most ppl are too ignorant to believe that u should retrofit them to actually make them work the way they are supposed to....

Actually, Hella (German lighting manufacturer, OEM equipment on most high end German cars) makes HID fog units. The Micro DE fog assembly comes in HID and non HID versions.

              http://www.rallylights.com/hella/Micro_DE.asp

Retrofitting HID bulbs / systems into optics & housings not designed for them is stupid. Don't do it.

                DO SOME RESEARCH.
Type in HID retrofitting in google and you will have more articles than you need.
