I know this has been discussed a few times, but with the removal of BP's, I thought I would see what the highest octane at pumps is around the area. I know of the 100+ in Moorhead, but I am looking for 93 or 94 anywhere around here. If nobody knows of 93/94, can anyone help with a spot for 92?

    Thanks!

Clark, the place that sells race gas in Moorhead, sells 92.

Havent been out there for a while, but the Gas station on walstreet in N. Moorhead used to sell 92oct. non oxygenated.

Bradys/Clark has 92.5 but is ussually WAY more then anywhere else.

There is still a BP in moorhead.

Can you still get a drum of toluene from sherwin williams? If so, you can blend it with 91 to get any octane you like.

Not exactly what you want but it may be the best/cheapest alternative.

like mix it just to make more power? nothing will give you more power just by mixing it with fuel. run 85.5 octane and let it detonate, that much cylinder pressure is sure to up your power a little

to answer your question, No, there isnt anyplace in town that sells 93/94.
The Gas station in w.Fargo on main ave used to, but now they dont even carry 92.
The Old bp that is on 25th right off of 94 Has 92 but i wouldnt suggest getting gas from there.

you guys do realize that when it says 91 octane. its says minimum right above it.... so its not just straight 91 octane... it could be higher, the sticker just says that it meets the minimum 91 octane rating...

Truth...I just read an article on MON and RON ratings. Here's part of the article (taken from Sept 2003 TURBO magazine):

"If you have 2 fuels with the same AKI or octane, look at the RON and MON numbers. Let's say one fuel has a RON of 118 and MON of 104 (so 118 + 104 / 2 = AKI octane rating of 111), and another fuel has a RON of 112 and MON of 110, both yield an AKI of 111. The fuel with the higher MON number will generally tend to perform better in high-rpm or racing conditions..."

...the "91" or "92" is an average of the MON and RON values. So keep that in mind while reading below/above the big "91" rating into the fine print.

will have to look next time.

the former BP here in TRF officially changed signs and such this week. so they no longer carry 92 non-oxy. just 91. that is now a tesoro station.
the former BP in erskine also no longer carries 92 non-oxy. it is 91.

will see how car acts with this tesoro in it. been running 92 or 92 non-oxy in it since i got it in june.

Well according to the article there is values for RON and MON at the pump...But tonight I went pioneering to try and find 92, and the only station I found with it, was the one RidinRails mentioned off I94 and 25th. I didn't see any fine print at any of the stations I checked out....So perhaps this information is no longer public (article was from 2003?!?)
