Project: putting a real motor in a RX-7

i commend you for the LS swap... I think there is going to be more than one non-GM LS car looming around fargo, FYI!. The FAST intake is the best, although they are spendy (FAST 90mm / 90 mm t-body). Weiand has a newer composite intake as well that is better than the FAST and only $550ish, but I am not sure if it is production, yet. TPIS make a LS6 with a modifed 90 inlet that works just as good as the FAST as well. if you got to TPIS.com they have there dyno comparison. The prof products isn't a bad piece, but they heat soak terribly (really thick alum) they get to the point you can't even put your hand on them (especially forced induction). I'm sure that turbo will spool, but it may be pretty late, not sure. Good luck though, I have seen quite a few of those swaps personally and they are clean and lotsa options for parts later... If you change from the truck intake you will need to change accessory brackets and crank pulley, I BELIEVE. just an warning.

Cool stuff, will be interesting to see it come together.

Lag monster? I would have thought that with the relatively big cube motor it should spool that pea shooter pretty well? Faul's gonna be spooling a S480 with a 1.32 a/r T6 with his little 183 cid. There is a pic of his setup in the dictionary under the definition for lag.
