Which to buy, and why?

Price = 360
Reliability = PS3
Games = Toss up, I prefer 360 but I own one so that's why
Warranty = 360
WiFi/Online Gaming = PS3 (Free always beats having to pay, plus it's got wireless capabilities and browser built in)
Graphics = Bet you couldn't tell a difference between the 2 if they were hooked up to the exact same TV with the exact same cables.

Which of these matters most to you?

Achievements FTW. Gives me a reason to keep playing Halo 3. I just need an overkill in a ranked free for all now. As far as exclusive games go, I like games like final fantasy and GT, but I just gotta have my halo, all the rest will pretty much be on both systems.

Blue Ray is where everything is going. HD DVD is pretty much dead.

Except for the fact that regular DVD's are fine...

I find it hard to believe that you can justify the price of blue ray (and updating your movie collection) vs regular dvd's / videos from the net (which are free).

Everything I watch is streamed over the network to multiple 360's and computers...

Blue ray games are way slower than normal 360 disc but can hold more data. BUT because there so slow game developers put the same data on the disc over and over again so the laser doesn't have to travel so far (because its slow) Thus making the fact they can handle more data retarded.

I'm talking mostly about the retards that got one at launch. Mom and dad put some money in the checking account and all of the sudden YOU'VE GOT FRIENDS!! PS3 friends, but that's enough for some people.

There was one kid i know of who's parents bought one for him and his brother and he went all over facebook noobing it up about how he had two PS3s, and how awesome he is for being able to afford them, and how the PS3less are pwnt by him. I mean first of all what is the fucking point, and second... it's just sad.

I saw enough el33tist faggotry in those few weeks after launch to sour me on buying one for quite a while. Anything that inspires that kind of douchebaggery should be put down for the common good.

If you own one, and are not a douchebag, kudos to you for your continued resistance.

Anyway, MGS may force me to buy one, if it's not coming out for 360.

I prefer 360. Although I did just buy a ps3 to prepare for MGS4. Being able to use any bluetooth headset on ps3 is also definetely a bonus

PS3- you can play games on it and watch blu-ray's on it win win. the player dose need updates but it is just a click away on the ps3. I have one and i like it because i can use it for both for game and blu-ray.
360- just game they dont make hd-dvd any more.
and if the movie part has no take on this then i would go with the 360.
I like them both .if it is two hard to deside just get them both over time.

the thing with the load time on the ps3 will be fixed as more games are being developed. you have to remember, the 360 has about a 2year headstart on the ps3 as far as development goes, plus with the added capacity of the bluray disc, as they find more efficient ways to code the games, they will easily surpass the capability of the 360.

also, on note of the bluray movies, yes, not necessary maybe to upgrade your whole collection, but there is definitely a increase in picture quality, and dts-hd and dolbyHD pwn.

i bought my ps3 simply for the fact that i have had now all 3 playstations, like the games (MGS, GT, FinalFantasy), and for the fact that i absolutely fucking hate the design of the 360 controller

I think the douchebags on either side make the non-douchebags dislike the other console. I have a PS3 because I like the controller, I definitely don't like the 360 controller, don't like Halo, and love Final Fantasy. (For the record I don't like Halo or Resistance... I like more "realistic" shooters like R6V and COD4)
