Alright guys, the 426 is finally done, well lights are being wired this week, and than plated. Here are pics. Its pretty sick. I had her out o n the streets for a short while right when i got her done.

More people need to pick some of these up!! they are so flickable compared to a sportbike, and damn, they are just plain fun!

For lights, I am using small 2.5 in driving lights mounted on the handle bars, and than going with a UFO LED tail light/brake light. Than i am going to be getting a trail tech Vapor for my speedo.

also, KYLE YOU BETTER POST PICS OF THE WR250X YOU JUST PICKED UP!!

      Looks good!

I never got a chance to talk with cory today. We have been so busy with the motorcycle show we had this weekend its been crazy. Not sure if you have seen the KTM 950supermoto or the 690Supetmoto-R.

      On a different note,
What are you going to do for a kickstand?
Do you run a motorcycle license plate now since it is street legal or just a regular sticker?
What size rear tire are you using?

i have seen the ktms, and to me they arent true sm bikes.... But thats just me. Also it isnt plated yet, as the lights wont be done til wed or thursday. And for a kick stand, i built one to get it through inspection, and than im just gonna pull it off, i will lean her against poles. Or i will get the Trail tech SM kick stand.

The rims are 17 in excels laced to rad hubs, and the tires are metzeler sportec m-1s. the rear is a 150 i believe. I will get the exact numbers later.

Also, the conversion isnt cheap... its 1500 for wheels, tires, hubs, spokes, brakes, front brake line, footpeg sliders, and hand guards.

How do you go about getting one made street legal and what are the costs? Is there any cc requirements or anything?

no cc requirements, here is what you need

              headlight
              tail light/brake light
              one mirror
              speedo/odometer
DOT Tires(cant have ones that say off road use only or not for highway use) needs to have the dot number
and if you have hi and low beams you need a high beem indicator

than after you have all that, go get her inspected by the highway patrol.

I agree. They're made for street riding around but wanted to keep a design where they could supermoto it. Completly different setup than how the average supermoto is set up. Their really nice though, they have the power/speed for the streets, and you can still throw them around like you can a supermoto.

Here is the light i used

Here is my mirror. Its very cheap. 6 bux at walmart. Its a bell bicycle mirror and is held on to the grip by a velcro strap. It has a reflector on the front, and mounts pretty solid. The best feature is tht it takes seconds to remove for a track day.

only reason i did those for headlights, they were cheaper than 80 bucks for a universal number plate setup, and this way i dont need to switch plates when i wanna race.headlight plates are ugly(unless its the factory WR one from 07 up. but thats about 300 bux) and they cant fit numbers easily.

Besides the supermoto conversion.... the legal part is being done on the cheap.

what about an acerbis light? I run one on my stunt bike. They've got a number plate and an agressive look. price ain't to bad either.

still pricey, and i dont like there look. they are ok, but not a fan of them. Just due to the fact they dont flow with the fender well and usually leave a pretty good gap.

the most expensive things on the conversion are the kick stand and wr426 stator and flywheel... here is a rundown...

                                    Moose Regulator - $14
                                    Driving lights - $15
                                    Trailer LED - $25
