So I found a really good deal on a 3000gt and I am debating on whether it actually needs a new clutch or just needs some clutch fluid. I went and checked it out and the clutch has very little resistance but has some.So im basically asking for anyones help who might know a thing or two about it. Also if anyone is willing to come and take a look at it and figure out the problem i will give you TEN DOLLARS!!! lol but seriously if you have some time today and are willing to help out give me a call 701-337-6237. Also if it does need to be replaced i am looking for someone who could do it for cheap because Ive checked a few shops and they are asking around 750-1000 to fix it.

if its an n/a, 50/50 on it needing fluid or a fresh clutch, if its a vr-4, it probably needs an entirely new transmission.

Yea the reason im pondering the idea is because IF i decide to do it i can fix it and sell it right away and i know im getting my money back because of how cheap im getting it for. Ill just say is less than 1g. No body damage anything just torn leather seats. It started right up and everything so. I just want to know if its a leak or needs a new resevor, or a new clutch all together or even bad lines. So like i said if anyone can help a guy out lemme know. Im going to check a few dealers to see how much they would give me for it before i go through with it though.

Check the clutch pedal adjustments. I don't specifically off the top of my head if it's adjustable or not, but I know DSMs are and that could cause it to feel like there is no resistance if its not causing it to disengage.

Also, when it's running, are you able to push the clutch in and shift through the gears?

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

I know the car you're talking about...it's my buddy Ryan's. I looked at it and didn't get the chance to bleed the clutch or anything. I decided not to get it bc it's a 3kgt and i just dont want another headache. That car has had a lot done to it though. Newer transmission among other parts. Motor runs fine. Has 140k on it if I recall. The clutch just wont dissengage because the pedal is uber soft. My guess is that it needs a clutch master, slave cylinder, or a simple bleeding. in gear the car still grips so that leads me to think the clutch itself is ok but I can't guarantee that.

Either way, for the right person, it's a good buy.

bled it and topped both brake and clutch fluids off and its good to go and a done deal.
