WAAAAYYYYY Cheaper. Not that it matters... They are very stout engines. They also weigh very close if not, less than a rotary. (That's what I read)

not as cheap as Gen I-II stuff.... but not ridiculous

I will do a run down list of what i have paid sometime.....lets put it this way

I have sold most of my rotary stuff..... and with that money i have not spent a penny more on anything for this setup thus far.........

these engines will do 600 wheel stock so that is very stout for an engine with cast parts

I have an iron block... so around 80lbs heavier than the alum. ls1/ls2 engines

but I feel well worth it for the durability gained..... heck GM doesnt recommend boring the alum. blocks .010"+ over because of the thin liners........ where as the iron 4.8/5.3 blocks can be bored .100" over

Since all the genIII-IV engines share the same cylinder spacing it is only common sense that the smaller bore versions are going to have thicker cylinder walls and inherently more strength with boosted applications

IMO alum. blocks are overated...my car is a lightweight anyway...80lbs... bigdeal

          ya rambling again

            had lots of time today

got the pushrods back in, intake, TB, elbow all done

and got the harness perty much whipped

            but good news...

cranked it over till i got 40psi cranking...... had good spark and could hear the injectors, so my harness is good to go 🙂

missing some fittings to hook up my fuel supply, but a little carb cleaner down the hole and she fired to life ..... so good news, darn excited, different sound that is for sure

anyway here is what came out of the stock harness
