Ok, i have a folder with like 200+ Videos (being like 20 mins each) That i am trying to play through my Xbox 360 playback feature. The only problem is they are in .avi DivX format it looks like. So i guess the question i have is, what program out there will convert numerous files into like .WMV or any other format that Windows Media Player will support.

ps. id like a program that's free and would do several at a time so i don't have to manually do over 200 of them. Thanks a lot.

p.s.s. Jim, show me your Asian computer wisdom plzz.

Actually the spring update allowed you to play divx files on the 360. It only works through direct connect mode though and now through media center extender (which I though was extremely retarded).

Yeah i know they can play other files now, but for some reason WMP wont play them and neither will they play through Xbox. So i figure just converting them directly would fix it.

Um... sign in to xbox live, then try playing the files again.

Are they Xvid encoded files? WMP should play them.

If you can't get them to play in WMP, you won't be able to convert them becuase you don't have the proper codec installed anyway.

You can use that if you really want to, but its a waste...

Just use WMP 11+ with the proper codecs installed and share to your 360...
