I got my stands from http://www.redlinestands.com/ They are the swivel stands. The reason I went with those is because of the wheels on them. You can put the bike up on the stands and just roll it all around with no issues. I'm honestly surprised at how stable the bike is while on the stands. If you would like to see how well they work I'll gladly show ya.

I'll vouch for the stands Troy bought. They are the nicest bike stands I have ever seen.

I would recommend lockhart phillips stands. they are around 100 bucks per stand and are very good in quality.

How much did these cost you for the set?

looks like they're the better part of $250 for a set...

I've got no need to move the bike around on the stands so it's really not worth the extra money. Those pit bull stands look like they're even more than that...

They are, but once you spend time using "cheap" stands, you will learn to appreciate "not cheap" stands.

The stands Troy bought are far from cheap and are extremely well built.

just how much difference can there really be? Granted I don't want something that's going to bend like a buddy's did, but aside from that...

edit: The redline commercial line is more along the lines of what I wanted to pay...

I have nothing to argue here about stands and quality of them, but its not like its a race motor that you're buying. I really needed to have the bike moveable while on the stands because of my small garage, so thats why I went with Redline, and they work great. They're made of steel (I believe) so they're strong. Of course they're heavier than the aluminum ones out there. They are $118 each.

well I did some more reading last night and redline doesn't recommend the swivel stands unless you're using spools in the back. I have yet to figure out a way to run spools so I'll likely just order one of their other versions.

You're right, the Yamaha guy has to bow down to the Suzuki powerhouse. Suzuki bandwagon > Yamaha.
