Houston, we have liftoff.....

Well it was an interesting day at the track, we learned quite a bit and got my car set up better. Thanks to Andy for helping tweak the E98 tune a bit. We put limiting straps on the front suspension trying to get the car to not wheelie so much. It seemed like we made some progress, first pass of the day was a 8.60 @ 165 which was the best the car has run. The next pass was a 8.65 @ 154. On both passes the car had a slight burble at the launch, but we figured we had the wheelie problem taken care of.
uhh, guess not... the next pass was the pic above. No burble at the launch and the front end shot up. I did get a nice view of the sky I guess. I'll post the vids once they are up in youtube.
edit here is the 8.65 video. We didn't have the camera going on the 8.60 pass.

At least it wheels up without darting one way or the other. Nice n straight. Great passes Dave. That's because Supras are MAN cars. Unlike those buttstangs that love to jerk it left or right.
Awesome passes Dave! And there's no such thing as "too much wheelie".

If all goes good hopefully not!!! We checked out the Muscle Car Shootout in Brainerd this last Saturday and all the fast cars had their tires about a foot off the ground or less. The ones that were going sub 8.50's. If we can't get it to be tame with suspension adjustments than a wheelie bar is a must.
