People in the area of someone riding a wheelie (or other street-careless manner) are in just as much danger as the rider, probably even more.
Consider this....rider is going down the street on their '02 GSXR 1000, 1st gear, 30 mph.
Rider decides to wik it up and loft the front end, probably going a bit over 30 now to keep it up.
Rider loops it and sends 475lb GSXR cartwheeling or sliding into oncoming traffic or maybe towards the side walk. Bonus, on the way off the back of the bike, rider hangs onto the throttle, giving the gixxer an extra boost as it goes shooting into traffic. Maybe instead of looping out, rider puts it down and ends up in a tank-slapper, losing control.
Either way, maybe the bike hits a pedestrian, maybe the bike cartwheels into the front windshield of the driver coming towards the cartwheeling bike, maybe the car behind the fallen rider locks their brakes to avoid running over said rider, thus getting rear-ended by the car behind them.The rider is not the MAIN person in danger. They are 1 person, endangering themselves and those around them. Hell, in the case of a wheelie, the rider may be in the least danger, as they aren't going to be in front of the 475lb mass they just launched down the street.
That 1 rider endangers many and is certainly not the "main" person in danger.

I am going to go ahead and say that the biker is 100% at fault, unless somehow the investigation discovers the girl was drunk, drugged or something, she had nothing to do with it. But after I got done reading all this, I can't seem to remember where anything (from anyone for that matter) even saw the girl do anything other than pull out. We do not know if she was distracted. Some people saw stuff and they stated it. The rest and MOST of this case right now is 99% PURE SPECULATION. Until the FPD releases information, none of us know shit. Yea, you saw him at a excessive rate of speed. Yea, you saw him lift his wheel up. From all of this, thats ALL you saw. TWO things. IMO thats not enough to push 100% the fault on the biker.

EDIT: Btw gary, it was what, 6pm when this happened. IMO you do not need headlights to see someone at 6PM. doesnt start getting dark until 8ish. If you can't see a motorcycle driving in the lane, you better not be driving. If you can't see that, how are you gunna see a pedestrian or a bicyclist for that matter.

I feel bad for the family its shity losing a loved one.....more so is kind of situation. If you ride please just wear your helmet. We dont need any thing els for those damn cops to be bitching about.

if i see someon driving down the road and is a block away... i am going to assume he/she/it is going within the posted spedlimit.... and knowing how fast trafic is passing in front of you gives a just of how long you have to get out into traffic... and if you are trying to get out into traffic and have been sitting for a while, people tend to get impatient... she saw a open spot and went... she had no idea that he was going that fast, it is hard to tell... and now he is dead.. -

So what your basically saying is that she was an offensive driver. Don't they teach you to be a DEFENSIVE driver so stuff like this doesnt happen? Any driver with 1/2 a brain will know what 30mph looks like. Now I see someone going far beyond what looks to be 30mph. Pretty sure the first thing a normal driver would think of is to just sit there and wait instead of risking an accident. Obviously she failed at that.

so... if you were trying to get out into traffic.... you can always judge how fast a small object is moving?
