How do I find that? Remember the title?

I had an idea like that once. It was a "Jump To Conclusions" mat.

Like I said, I feel for his family, but his actions caused this. Yeah, it sucks, but had he not been driving like he was I am 100% sure he'd be alive today and we wouldn't be 287 posts deep into this thread.

Riden, to be completely honest, there was no need for the excessive acceleration and the wheelie. Unless they can prove any of my previous points about the girl, the dude is at fault here. It sucks, yes. But it was a decision that was made and ended up fatal.

I'm sorry for his family and feel bad for THEM. Not him. Ok.. So I do feel bad for him a bit as no one should have to die on the road, but at the same time, he knew what the concequences of driving like that can be. Unfortunately, the last thing he saw was a massive escalade.

If you were to drive your car at 80mph and hit a pole and die, I'm sure we would all be calling you a dumbfuck too for driving like that, but at the same time we would feel a bit of sorrow for your family.

Off to class.. I'm still waiting a reply from capitalj.

I feel sorry for the kid and anyone else diretly affected by the situation.

That being said, if I rode bike, popped a wheelie and killed myself running into some other vehicle in rush hour traffic, I'd expect nothing less than to have everyone say I'm a dumbass and brought it upon myself. Accountability.

Exactly what I was saying. Did you actually wait for my response, as if I'm worked up about it lolz. I went to bed, but flame on all you want about the shopping cart thing it was like 4 years ago, I was a retard, I apologized for it. That however does not disqualify me from pointing out that this guy on his rocket ran into the side of a SUV while pulling a wheelie and going way too fast. I'm sure she saw him, even if she didn't, when she pulled out he was probably a block away and under normal circumstances she would have had plenty of time to clear the lane for him. I'm not ragging on the guy, ok maybe a little, but that is just stupidity plain and simple. Here's your Darwin award.

Edit- As for the daytime running lights the National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration has this on their website,
                        http://www-nrd.nhtsa.dot.gov/pdf/nrd-01/esv/esv19/05-0178-W.pdf
A vehicle with daytime running lights, especially a motorcycle, is much more visible, even during broad daylight, than one without. They do state that there is not much research on the subject but I'd be willing to bet that those results would bump up quite a bit if someone actually dedicated a study to the subject. What the running lights do is allow you to pick out, very quickly, another vehicle and not mistake the shape for anything else.

You acted stupid. He acted stupid. I believe that is equal right there. You were just fortunate enough of it only being a 10lb shopping cart while he hit a 6000lb escalade.

What if that were a semi you hit? Would you be the dumbass for fucking around and risking your life?

Absofreakinglutely, you can shine all the light you want on me and my past. It doesn't change the fact that he made a stupid move and paid the ultimate price for it. It does suck and I feel for his family and friends but at the same time you can't say good things for him about what happened just because he died. I mean just because Saddam Hussein is dead doesn't mean we have to say nice things about him. Respect for the dead is one thing, turning a blind eye to stupidity for some misguided morality is quite another.

Go for it. Let's hope I survive so I can sue your ass for every penny your worth. Deal?

Capitalj - I'm sure you've smartened up. Yes, he made a mistake. There was no reason to drive like that. But her inexperience is also to blame here. You cannot put 100% of the fault on the biker. Bottom line. End of story.

I disagree. It could easily have been me getting hit. It MIGHT have been partly her fault, but from my POV, it clearly wasn't.

IF it were you in that situation, i'm willing to bet you would have enough common sense to let the moron biker pass before attempting to cut into traffic.

At the age of 15, you don't have that much experience behind the wheel.

My .02 is the inexperience has a factor in this whether it's a small amount or a large amount, it is still a factor.
