You give no condition or mileage on the engine.......

      why was it pulled apart??

a assembled solid lq4, engine only, is going to go from $750-1500 i would say

no way, i can pick up longblocks like that for 2-300 dollars. I would suggest you list it for 400 and go from there, but your not gonna get much for it.

the motor has 80,000 miles. Was removed because of cracked flywheel. Engine was never reinstalled. It was from a service vehicle and the amount of money involved in labor was more than what a service truck is worth. Arent the heads alone worth more than the motor?

i dunno, i guess i couldnt stand to see it go for under 500. If i cant get that for it i guess i would rather part it out. ebay is always your friend

well even at that, your not gonna get alot for it. The coils are worth 75-100, heads are worth maybe 200 and the shortblock is worth 200. so after you go through all the hassle of ebay, paypal and shipping, you might make an extra 1-200 at most. I would just tell nick to give you 350 and be happy that its gone, no joke.
For reference you can get a complete 5.3 with trans, wiring, intake, computer and everything for 700-1000, to give you some perspective.

I called the salvage yard today and tehy want 1300 for a good lq4 w/out wiring harness. Although there is a catch. They also include a 30,000 mile warranty. that would be a good deal for someone who plans on keeping the motor stock, but someone who plans on tearing it apart, but not so good for someone who plans on tearing it apart and voiding the warranty.

Nick i would make you a deal on an edelbrock intake/elbow/fuelrails, TB, and motron 60lb injectors........... and then you find a block,............. also have a Fbody oilpan/ windagetray/ pickup....the shallow rear sump one you would want

                                And new vette waterpump.....
