I would highly recommend a blu ray player with a 50" TV. I know some people aren't fans but I have one with my 42" and I love it!blu ray ftw... you can totally tell the difference on the bigger tvs with 1080i or 1080p it even looks better on a 120 ghz tv with absolutely no pixelated image... nice buy though... get a ps3 and make it worth the buy... lol...

When i bought my tv i acctually downloaded a break in DVD. All it does is repeat different colors across the screen... as long as you don't leave it on a still image though it shouldn't be a problem.
