no...I don't have xbox live

Nope...no fear of that at all. I play my 360 about once every 60 to 90 days on average....and then for about 5 minutes because I haven't found a single game on the last 2-3 generations of counsels (Xbox, PS or Nintendo family) that I've found to be a lot of fun beyond the first day of playing.
Any gaming I do is via PC, and that is almost all MMO type gaming. So an XBL account is absolutely pointless.

please tell me you play WoW.Absolute WORST MMO of the current generation....the should merge w/ geico so they can use their slogan "So easy a caveman can do it". I've played it and found it extremely boring and lacking content...made it level 30ish before I said fuck it.
EQ2, LoTRO, Warhammer, DaOC, etc... all have superior graphics, better gameplay/storyline and far more content.

You made it to level 30 when you quit? As i don't play it anymore (haven't for almost a year) i can't say much about the new expansion pack. But i can say that you quit way too soon. I have played LoTRO and let me just tell ya, the graphics? worse than WoW, way worse.. The game play? Its pretty much a dumbed down version of WoW..
As much as i hate saying it, WoW is a game that anyone can play, but to play it well and be able to do half of the raids/instances you need to be able to know what you are doing and have some skill to it. WoW has one of the biggest and most extensive 'universe' for any game that i have ever played. There is esentially a storyline to anything and everything in that game. That and all the cool stuff happens at level 40 so you quit way way too early.
Can't believe i just defended WoW.
Anyways, new update = tits.

If it isn't fun for the first 3 days (which it took me to get to level 30), I'm not going to give it any more time than that to get interesting....and the problem is that anyone can play it, which bores the hell out of me. It's cartoonish graphics drive me nuts. It's universe is big, but I don't think it is the biggest out there....in fact I don't think it has caught up with EQ1 in terms of sheer size.
LoTRO's graphics (IMO) were somewhere between those of EQ2 and WoW...and it utilized WoW's UI basically....which is why I don't play it anymore.
The best new MMORPG is Warhammer for me. Strategy, PvP instances, fighting for control of land, etc, etc, etc... make this game a must have for me.
