I will be ordering some staggered wheels for the miata this week and I need to know what tires I should run.
Wheels will be
-16x7 +15 fronts
-16x8 0 rears

These will be show wheels so I want a kind that stretched look.

no race car? becuz homeowner...

255/45/16 Rear

~25" Rolling Diameter, Speedo Should be near exact.

Sorry I used the wrong year OEM tire size:

215/40/16 Front
245/35/16 Rear

Will get you 22.8" Rolling Diameter All around w/ factory being 22.7".

erik ran 8" 0 offsets all the way aroundon a lowered car with minimal fender rolling. Mine is stock ride height now so it should fit fine. Found a slammin deal on some limited production knock offs made for an 86. http://xxrwheels.com/sportmax_513.shtml#. Those in semi-gloss black with a red lip.

Use this as a reference: http://www.dakota-truck.net/TIRECALC/tirecalc.html

Keep in mind, that a 245 in say a...Falken isn't always the same as a 245 in say Toyo. Yes it should all be a width of 245, but that is far from the case we have found.

I based my sizes purely on rolling diameter. I would imagine you're not going to be able to get much more than a 225 on the back of the miata without some work...

Are you still putting the flares on the car joel? If so, you can run a 245 in the rear providing you have the ride height set properly. If the ride height is stock, youll have no worries.

I don't plan on putting the flares on this year. Turboing it, plus new wheels will set me back plenty of money the way it is... I also plan on doing a crazy stereo this year.

A pink crx still wouldn't be half as gay as a miata. And have you ever seen a car on low offset wheels that isn't lowered? I can't imagine how retarded this will look. In for pics.

1. A Miata is a sports car. it doesnt sit high from the factory.
2. Try lowering a Miata and fitting any kind of wide wheel with a low offset.
3. My car already wears tires bad enough, I dont need retarded amounts of camber to eat my nice tires.
