Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall
Torque is how far you take the wall with you -

I used to have a mint 97 2wd 5 speed ranger with the dual plug 2.3...... it was the most underpowered vehicle i have ever driven........ funny thing is it would do 17mpg on I-state because it struggled so badly, but would do 30mpg at 55-65mph
