^^^^ That out in Osgood? I crashed at my friends place, and there was a good 4 ft drift or so in front of his garage... he started to shovel and said hell w/ it and just put it in 4 wheel and busted thru it.. the drifts are soft snow, so it's surprised to see some of these ppl stuck. main roads are fine but the visibility is low and the wind is high which sucksthey are not soft... I drove over a 1' worth of the one by my garage this morning.

Here's the stuck suv
Is he the one that was there all morning? He had apparently just gotten out when I went walking around here a few minutes ago because he came tearing over my direction. Judging by the way he took off it's a 2WD with an open diff. I thought there was a car buried there this morning when I tried to get out. (or is it further east yet?)
And yeah, it was snowing in my garage too. Most of it was blowing under the door so I went out and shoveled a bunch of snow up against it. Buddy's bike is in the garage and its now covered in snow.

Walked up to 3rd floor to look out the window and saw this moron shoveling his way out of his garage. Guess he had somewhere to go.. except he didn't make it 40' before he was stuck.

And this dude in the dodge was out sitting in the truck - not sure if he was pulling people out or what. He offered to help and the guy declined so he put the dodge back in the garage. Wise man.

And he finally broke down and shoveled it out. Probably filling in just as fast as he was shoveling though.

I was really hoping he'd try to go through there again and get stuck again. I would've LOLOLed.And if you look really really hard you can see a dark object above that explorer (that bookem posted - he finally dug himself out). That looked like a newer Avalanche BURIED in the snowbank I got 'stuck' in this morning. Looked like snow was half way up the tailgate. There is NO getting through that way until they come clear it - and they'll have to clear that with skids or payloaders.

It was there like 10 this am, on the east entrance. The wind is blowing the top of the garage door open and coming in there.

I did..
even thinking about leaving right now in anything less than a fullsize 4WD truck is stupid. I at least figured he'd make it through that drift but it's gotten quite a bit deeper since I went through it this morning (granted it only takes about 10" of snow for a Grand Prix to be stuck). But I knew he'd be hosed because he was headed toward the spot where that explorer was stuck that bookem posted.
Say bookem - you live in the 2nd building in right?

LOL shoveling ftl! i had to shovel and push my car through the snow bank just to get it back in my garage, after coming back from work, i am not going anywhere now. It is parked in the garage and that is where it is staying till the shit is cleared up! Shit i even had to help my buddy dig and push his awd A4 out even he got stuck!

When I tried to get out at 8am there was one right on the north end kinda between the 2 apartments that looked like it had been sitting there a while.

Yes got that one out, many others are trying to get throught now.
And the snow is up to those stop signs at the south end of the garages. -
well I just talked to a few people here..
Amber Valley Parkway is shut down just past the Amber Valley apartments east entrance. There are at least 6 vehicles that have been abandoned in that area. I just spent a few minutes talking to a couple of people who stopped here to warm up - one that ended up stranded and one that got pulled into Pracs. Also talked to a guy in a crew cab Chevy 4WD and he ended up parking his truck in our lawn because he can't get back to the twinhomes.
Its bad.
The one chick said she called 911 in hopes they could somehow come get people out but they've got no options available. Sounds like the plows have tried to get down AVP but can't right now.
Wonder if the ranger is still stuck out in front of your place...
