Yeah I am sure. How would a light that is being reflected off the back housing of the headlight change just because of a different type of a bulb...

you do understand how high beams and low beams work on single bulb reflector style housings right? In this argument you are very wrong. And there is absolutly no aiming headlights that glare that badly

Dont disable the dtr lights. It wont ruin the headlights it will just use them all the time. I guess knock more life off them? But if your goal is ultimatly "more light" then why not always have "more light". Since really its just for the ricer image

besides, dtrl's are for safety. their good to have

the saftey of DRL can be debated. If you search online many studies have been done to show they are not safer. So I wouldnt say that they are making the roads safe. Plus most automakers, like GM, have them because in canada they are required to have them. instead of making more than one light system for the same car they just installed them on every model. saves gm money. which apperantly didnt really help them in the long run anyways. lol

Not to be a dick but that is 100% wrong

The characteristics and dimensions of the arcs are completely different..... and will not function properly in a housing not designed specifically for each individual bulb

DRL's run the bulbs at about 60% power... most of the time on high beams... so my guess is thats why he wants to disable them...

                                          nope.

Not since 2000 has GM done this on their trucks. In 2000.5 they went to a designated DRL. As far as I knew they've continued this design.
