Wow..that sucks..Good luck, Mayos the best.I know I wouldn't be getting any sleep...
Agreed, we took my dad to Mayo for his cancer, it was the best, worst experience of my life. The doctors/administrators were GREAT. I really didn't know doctors had personalities/compassion until I went there.
Anyway, sorry to hear. So, taking it a bit further here, is it benign or malignant? That makes a huge difference. I'm assuming its malignant since they are escalating it to Mayo, but you didn't say.
Good luck, if they caught it soon enough you should be in pretty decent shape from my experience. You'll be back in no time!
PS, time to have a benefit so you can finish your car...haha jk!

lol, yeah, ive heard good things about the doctors there. As for it being benign or malignant, he doesnt know..it is a sports injury so it shouldn't be as bad as most. ha, as for my car...I might be able to at least throw on the exhaust.

my mom had pollio when she was young and has been to mayo a couple times for work on her knees. She said all the doctors and nurses were really nice and do amazing work.

I would say thats up to my parents.Oh, so your parents decided just to go to Mayo? If so, thats cool that the doctor gave you a referral then because I know it's pretty stringent to actually get in. We fought for a couple of months before we got the neccessary "authorization".
Sorry for asking so many questions, it's all just really fresh for me, so curious how your process is working, and if I can help you out at all.

Usually when you have an injury like that it can cause enough damage to create a benign growth like you have. I wouldnt stress about it much because it i obviously related to you damaging your knee.
I guess i havent been taking all these medical classes for nothing! -

somehow this sounds a bit sarcastic...but i cant tell, its internet talk. Yeah, the doctor called Mayo and is trying to get me in ASAP, but we are waiting on their call back...so I dont know when I will be able to actually get this going.

That's one hell of a religious doctor to say that line when you ask him a serious question. It was nice to hear it. The seriousness in his voice was not only enough to scare the shit out of me...but after this is all done, I am going to church every sunday.

Nah man, theres a time and a place for it, and I don't know you well enough personally to joke around with this situation. Either way, good luck.thank you, im still a bit in shock but im more composed than I was earlier..its a start I suppose.

Now, not trying to sound like a bad guy or anything, I guess I'm more uninformed than anything else, but I thought tumors only developed on major organs and whatnot. Correct me if I am wrong.
In any case, I wish you the best of luck.
