    blackberry > *

I've owned WM devices, Treos, and Blackberries, and nothing even compares. Especially when you use blackberry enterprise server. My storm is absolutely an amazing phone now....

I've seen quite a few track balls quit working/ fall out on the Blackberries, went with a HTC much like this one because of the screen quality and completely satisfied.

It also found it's way into a mug of beer when it was about a week old, 5 months ago and still working.

I agree with Nick Blackberry > *...but... Curve > Tampax > Pearl > Storm

          WM > *

There are some major points being missed so far... as in do you want a PDA Phone or a Smartphone, there is a pretty big distinction between the two.

It sounds from the description of a palm being too bulky you want a thin, non pda phone...

My favorite Smartphone, has to have been my Q... although I missed the functionality of a PDA phone....

I currently have the Samsung Omnia, but have had the i760 and the i730 previously...

The i760 was my favorite phone, I miss the slide out keyboard.

It really all depends on what you are going to do with the phone, I use quite a few of the features that a Windows Mobile phone can offer over a blackberry (remote desktop connection, wmwifirouter, easy outlook syncing).

WiFi, Bluetooth, EVDO, Fast processors, Expandable Storage, EXTENSIVE list of 3rd party apps.

If your just going to text, occasionally browse the web and read your email, then any smart phone will do. If you need the enterprise push email features, blackberry is the way to go; Like I said before, depending on what your needs are, there is a "right" smartphone for you....

Jim, how does the Omnia work? It sounded so promising on paper, but I haven't heard that many good things about it. I always liked the i760 as well, but have never used one.

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

The one I bought is a HTC Diamond,

                http://www.htc.com/www/product/touchdiamond/overview.html

Love the touch screen, one touch to read email, two touches to send email.

Edit: I don't think you can play teeter on any Blackberry either:icon_geek:

Ive got my voyager, and hate it.

My BB that i was given for work. its a 8700c, and it sucks as well. We got to test out the Bolds for a little bit, and they are ok, we didnt get to use the full function of them though. the camera, phone, video, and a few other functions were removed by security policy.

I got offered to buy the Omnia before it was released in stores, because I had purchased the previous two Samsung WM phones... The Omnia is fine, but I liked my i760 more... but the i760 shit out on me...

The Omnia has tons of features, its just a tad cumbersome to use compared to the previous ones, but the extra processing power makes up for it, I just wish it had a real keyboard.
