Grand Forks Part II

Wow, you guys are so fucked. In 97 the water was covering my driveway, and about 3" deep under my house. Right now the water is just covering the concrete under the house. Our culverts on the road just opened this morning, just today the river at my house has risen about 3ft this afternoon, all the ditches have doubled the amount of water in the ones that were not already full, the rest are going over the roads already. I would expect the worst, once this stuff gets out of breck you guys are gonna be fucked

The National Weather Service site still shows 40' crest, I sure hope it's right. At 42.5 the whole city will be under....The 42.5 is just coming from my sources. I dont know if they released it to the public yet or not. I know they are worried about the people of fargo, panicking.

I know they are worried about the people of fargo, panicking.I don't think you are the type of person to make something like this up.... Are they accounting for a certain amount of rainfall to make this number? I'd have to assume they are estimating an amount of precip with the 42.5' crest.... I agree that today everyone in need is in a 'panic' mode, but if everyone is building for 40', it seems like a waste of time if the crest will topple them anyways.....
I also find it funny that the people cocking Joel and others for their flood fight concerns a week or 2 ago, are now posting flood concerns. "It floods every year and we don't give a shit that you bought a house that might flood.....here's an idea, move".....not so cocky anymore...

The Mayor said just an hour ago on the radio that the projection is 41.1'. A family friend of ours lives just across University from the old Scheels and his house is at 40'. He's had so much water in his yard already that he's been pumping nonstop since Friday.
