Do you think our mission tonight will be to kill any foreign leaders? Will they give me a gun?

LOL, No. They prolly wont give you a gun, until you enlist. We can talk about enlistment options too. Were not carrying guns right now anyways. lol.......................

If I can carry a gun around during sandbagging, I think I am with Delslow, and would enlist for the week (do they do 1 week trial basis enlistments with open use of guns and tanks?)

Edit: we will be out by courts plus area bagging tonight. If anyone would like to add to our group of ~8, meet at tintmasters at 6:45ish. Going out to River Drive area (east of courts plus)

In all seriousness, I have ~8 guys that are available around 7pm tonight if someone is in desperate need (at this point, which I guess could change in the next 5 minutes). I would like to donate my time to those that haven't had much for support at this point. PM me an address.....

Nope, no trial periods. lol. you have to go to basic training and AIT before you can carry the guns around. I dont know if we will get to that point or not. Prolly will if Fargo gets severly flooded.

I still think that the city should have been much more prepared...have sandbags already being made a month ago. It's common sense that it was gonna be bad this year...Think about last year. Wet/short summer (had 2 blizzards in May), super wet fall, lots of snow, and that's just knowledge we already had. Couple that with the recent precipitation and you get what we are getting into. Everybody's in a rush and a panic...All I know is that if I lived next to the river I would have been working on this stuff a month ago...Common sense City of Fargo, USE IT.
Were you expecting a 10 inch blizzard, -40 degree temps followed by 50 degree temps all within a week?

welp, planned on heading in around 4am tomorrow to help out before work but just got off the phone with my boss at the Fargodome and I'll be heading up there at midnight to run forklift as the Fdome is now setting up to more actively fill sandbags.

                                edit. heres the whole article.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — President Barack Obama is well aware of the flooding disaster that has struck North Dakota this week and mentioned it this afternoon during a meeting with six hand-picked journalists from around the country.

The president mentioned the flooding while answering a question about North Dakotans being concerned how a “cap-and-trade” greenhouse gas reduction policy could hurt the state’s coal and power-generating industries.

Obama said that considering how bad the flooding is now in North Dakota, imagine what it could be if global warming exacerbates the issue.

“I actually think the science around climate change is real. It is potentially devastating," he said. "If you look at the flooding that’s going on right now in North Dakota, and you say to yourself, ‘If you see an increase of 2 degrees, what does that do, in terms of the situation there,’ that indicates the degree to which we have to take this seriously.”

The meeting with the reporters, which was about 30 minutes long, was in the Roosevelt Room of the White House’s West Wing.

For more details about Janell Cole's exclusive interview with President Barack Obama see Tuesday's Forum.

welp, planned on heading in around 4am tomorrow to help out before work but just got off the phone with my boss at the Fargodome and I'll be heading up there at midnight to run forklift as the Fdome is now setting up to more actively fill sandbags.

We were kicking ass and taking names at the dome tonite. 🙂

                                          edit. heres the whole article.

He seriously spun this into global warming debate? God I hate Obama
