just got back from sandbagging down south. We had the best line going. just rolling the sandbags over our arms. although the do need more people bagging the way it seems. Sometimes it would take 30 min -1 hr to get more bags to people. we had walk and search a while before we found someone with bags, and when the ran out had to find a different house, being it took so long to get the sandbags there. But its awesome to see everyone come together. I was standing next to a 60 year old guy and a 16 year old girl. great work guys keep it up!

national weather service just raised the red river crest to "between 41 and 42 feet, possibly as high as 43 feet." Fargo "doesn't have the resources to raise the dikes any higher."

time to stick a fork in it.

One more night at the dome for me.. after that - I just don't know. I think I'll start preparing for water.

          Confirmed. http://www.wday.com/news/index.cfm?id=9319

Will be heading to my mothers tonight(if I can make it to Moorhead) to help her prepare. I can't believe she might have to worry about water. This is almost unbelieveable.

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

                    well its out 43ft.

I dont think we will be able to handle 43ft at most levees and dykes.

From what iv heard flood insurance for the most part is useless. It most of the time only deals with if your house up and floats away...aka TOTALLY fucked.
