Grand Forks Part II

Yay no classes at NDSU all next week either now lol
BTW I am really impressed with the FM area through all of this. We pretty much rocked it. This is why I love the FM area; most of the people here are actually kind and care for one another.
Sounds like a decent chunk of Fargostreet was out there on the front lines bagging and what not too. Good job guys.

correct bill, 97 was a wild one. I remember bagging like you guys were, for 5-6 days straight for at least 10 hours a day. But, in the end the water came from all sides, at one point the dykes we built were doing nothing but holding the water in, as the river was lower than the water on the other side. That ice storm was the worst, i was riding jetski around breck bringing people gas and food when i had time, what a miserable memory

No comment then. Youre right, we're all wrong.Come on now. Fargo's elevation is approx. 900' depending where you measure at. There is about 8/10's foot of drop per river mile to the north. Lake Winnipeg is at an elevation of 712' Are you saying the water is flowing slow because we are almost 200' higher than Lake Winnipeg that has ice over it?? That lake has a surface area of over 9,000 sq. miles. Even if we were only 20' higher than the lake it would still be like pissing in the ocean.
I never said "You're all wrong". I am just trying to clarify some of the stuff that is completely wrong. Sorry if you didn't like it but please don't post things when you have absolutely no clue about it.
Picts coming soon. Vids. have no audio, I don't know how to convert for sound with camera.

Yea, i said "I'd say" cause it was my guess on why it would be slow going down than it was faster going up.
I was wrong, big deal.

Got a pic from my dads farm today. Thats his place way to the right. The sheyenne (sp) river goes under a bridge behind the shelter belt on the left. It seemed to go down some though. He didnt get wet just turned into an island. There is ditches on both sides somewhere...

Just because the government is brainwashing the National guard doesnt mean you know anything darrick. Bring your ass over to my house and tell me the river isnt going down. You were saying earlier about a 43 ft crest like 2 weeks ago when they havent predicted anything over 41 yet. You have no idea wtf your talking about.
I dont think snow melt will matter as much as they say, plus sun is the only thing melting the snow. It will start freezing up again in a couple hours. So they never predicted anything over 41ft huh. LMAO. where the fuck have you been? ND side they have. I dont deal with MN side so i dont know what you liberals over there predicted. I guess I dont know anything. Whatever joel. I wonder what will happen to your sandbag dyke when the temperature goes down, and the sand bags unthaw? hmmm. Have fun.
Your probably just mad becuase the Military never came to help you sandbag. Boohoo. Obviously you werent priority and I dont know what the MN guard was doing over there. I am in ND guard, SO we stay to our side of the river. Maybe you should too.
I like how you throw out brainwashing. Sounds like you brainwashed your self since your not considering any other possibilties.
How many times now have they changed this crest prediction over the last week? Many.... It has been changing almost everyday. So I dont see how get all excited over one day is worth it? It could change tomorrow, It could change in a few days.
Here ya go joel. Nothing over 41, remember...........
