Regional Top 5 Drag Racing Event - Where do you Rank?
-
The question was brought up at tintmasters.net forums if the $40 entry fee is in addition to the standard entrance fee?
The answer is no. The $40 registration fee for this event is all you have to pay to get in and race all day.

I will be there running singles all day in my tubbed out turd I guess. Or are you considering this a closed event? No, people can still come and race just like any other day but we will be keeping a close eye on the participating groups at the same time.

So a few questions, Do you have to designate which 3 passes you want to count, or is it your first 3 passes or what??
Each pass counts so 15 passes per team will make the total?? No writeoff passes??
I think some other awards would be cool, like most organized team, most unique team, fastest FWD/RWD/AWD or 4cyl/6cyl/8cyl. More awards would get more people to come out.

These things will bring out more people by making the playing field more level/even. I would love to see a shoot out of the fastest 4 cylinders of Fargo vs Mpls (for example).

What do you mean by writeoff passes? Do you mean like if someone can't finish a pass, or only makes 1 or 2? If that is what you mean, then yes the default pass time is 15 seconds.

Depending on the participation turnout we probably will do more awards, but for the first year we just don't know exactly what to expect. If we get a lot of participation then we can afford more trophies/awards for this event.

I really think it should be the best pass for each car, or the best 2 out of 3 passes or something so that if there is a problem you don't count every pass.
How are you choosing the 3 runs to count?? Is it first 3 passes of the day, or do we have to tell you before the pass, or just the 3 best passes for the car??

I concur. Best single pass for each car or average of best 2 passes. Limit writeoff passes to 2 or 3. That way,you will see some good runs instead of people trying to push their car right away and screwing something up. -

Why cant you race?no club affiliation

i agree with the 2 pass average... a 9.9 shouldnt be compettive if its backed up by a 12.8
