They dont work worth a shit. Especially when you are surrounded by so much steel... (the car itself). But, I suppose something is better than nothing.

I have tried using a S2k antenna and mounted it in trunk and it was worthless.

      PM me for:
      Sandblasting(I use glass beads)
      Diesel repairs or performance products.

I've had good luck with this (I do recommend getting it locally, if at all possible). But I'm sure, like weshole stated, I may have less steel to deal with.

hey thanks for the opinions and links. Im gonna look at the defroster area of my dash to see if I can semi-conceal that thing that wes posted (cant do back window--convertible top). Im gonna check the area at the top rear of the back seat too. Otherwise I guess I might have to go with one like starke posted.

I had an idea like that once. It was a "Jump To Conclusions" mat.

sirius? the cd deck that I installed is a secondhand pioneer unit with a manufacture date of 1991 that was in my old vette when I got it lol.

I guess im not much for technology.

I used a powered antenna in a lot of boats when I did car audio stuff. Maybe Chuck could get you one? Its made by Metra. I found it at www.metraonline.com, here's the one I'm talking about: http://retailer.installationexcellence.com/productfeatures.aspx?retailerid=1944&productid=2597&sid=4C8111A5-4F19-49C2-806A-233C585EFE3C They work really well actually. You could mount it up on the windshield, top of the dash, or maybe even inside the dash somewhere to see if it will pick up stations. I'm not sure if the antenna cable is long enough if you were to put it up on the windshield, let's say up by the rear view mirror, but you can get extensions for that.
