Mexican drug raid, centered around trackers in pseudoephedrin -- you knew it as Sudafed, and it's used in making methamphetamine.
Before Sudafed (and other such medicatinons) changed the formula (to something less effective), meth lab people were buying and stealing it in large quantities. When the US cracked down on it, Mexico became the largest producer of it - and thus, the Mexican traffickers of it got rich beyond belief.
Thus, most of the bills there are 100s. From a decongestant that was sold over-the-counter a year ago.

And that's why I have to go through the pain in the ass process to get my allergy meds now. Feel like a frickin druggy going in and buying Claritin D now, thank God my doc. gave me a perscription for a 30 day supply otherwise you're limited to buying a 15ct pack once every 15 days AND have to show ID and sign some form every time you buy.

why buy pseudoephedrine? why not grow your own? ephedrine isn't illegal, it has just gotten a bad name because of that irresponsible pitcher with an already present heart condition from a couple of years ago. i used to use ephedrine when weight-lifting or playing a sport... but now the supplement companies have stopped that and i haven't gotten around to preparing an indoor ephedra garden

you can bye ephedrine. It has never been illegal. The "Y" stack which is basically caffine/asprin/ephedrin was the one that was over used and killed people. No one has started marketing that again.
Growing your own would be stupid you'd have to grow so much, grind it down, extract and purify it.
Unfortunately (and I know this for a fact) capsulating your own "stacks" or medications is frowned upon and can get you into some trouble. So don't let anyone else take anything you make, and don't advertise that you have an aggitator.
