GT 500 Supersnake or ZR1
-
I don't know what your experience was like Gary, but I have driven several new mustang and loved them all. The plasticky dash is annoying but it was a very solid car and for the price not slow at all. I also drove a GT500 vert and it was the most fun I have ever had behind the wheel. Fast, big enough for me and 3 friends comfortably, an actual usable trunk. I fell in love. Is my experience with other cars a little limited, maybe, but I don't have the disposable income to build a 500+ horsepower street/strip car. I can however, if I play my cards right, aspire to a GT500 someday, if I don't have kids to worry about putting through college and whatnot, I could possibly even get a supersnake. The ZR1 however will probably be unobtanium for the rest of my life as they are going to be so limited and cost over 20 grand more than the supersnake. For that kind of money it'd better be faster.

Being that super snakes are not made on the assembly line, i think that they are going to be much higher quality.Yeah must be superb quality considering there is no warranty...
...and being that the super snake is a regular gt500 made right on the assembly line and the "supersnake" is a package added by Shelby
lol, it is the exact same thing as the Lingenfelter TT 1000 whp package for a c6 would be

all im saying is that the classification of a "sports car" is not limited to your SLK's, DB9's, and vipers. They incude your miata, cobalts, and your G5's.G5's and Cobalts are NOT sports cars.
I like how the SLK is mentioned with a DB9 though

Anyway, ZR1's can bang with nearly all exoitcs... Ferrari's, Lambos... in nearly all categories....

I thought there was two packages for the super snake one was like 500 and some horsepower and had a warranty, and the 700hp one didnt.hmm.... considering that the thread is talking about the 725hp package
but yes there is a 605hp package that gets an awesome limited 12,000-mile/12-month powertrain warranty....

I agree, those aren't even premium FWD cars. Although the Cobalt SS is pretty dang sweet from what I've read...

no matter what's done to a stang, it's still a stang...leave it to ford to name the car after a plane and then badge it with a horse running the wrong direction
