Well, surgery was a success and im doin just fine...they cut a section of my leg like a t-bone steak and showed my parents and i will see a picture later, but the section of my leg showed that ALL cancer cells were dead and I am cancer free now 🙂 . I must say though that this one legged feeling is crazy, my left.....stump?....is realllly easy to move around now without all that useless cancerous weight now and I can get back to weight lifting again now. I have finalized my decision for make a wish and I think a 08-09 ninja zx6r black with bronze wheels is perfect, it'll match my Z and hopefully the 01 ford ranger I may get pretty soon. I cannot thank you guys enough for all the support, thatd be cool if we could schedule a bbq or meet when im comfortably back on my fee....err....foot 🙂 lol. I should be back in town sometime within 3-4 days.

        see you guys soon
        Jeff

Glad to hear you are doing great. It's quite a life changer to have something like this done, but with the technology in today's era, you'll never know its missing once you get used to the "new leg".

Props for a positive attitude and best wishes as you recover. You've done the hard stuff.. Now it's cake walk. Good luck bud.

It probably does. My grandpa lost his toes a couple of weeks ago due to a bad artery causing a lack of blood flow and then dead toes. He said that he could still "feel" them there.

yea, I still feel it sometimes. Its because when a limb or toe, finger...etc, is amputated the nerves have memory and they are still sending signals to the brain from the limb they remember being there, so it takes awhile for them to adjust and heal adn eventually forget that its there. That leg cost us 7K and the socks for my "nub" were 500. Walking with it was really weird for the first few steps / feet, but after about halfway down the hallway I managed to get it to start working good. Its funny though when I forget that my leg isnt there anymore and I go to scratch my leg, its not there and im left dumbfounded going "oh yea lol" but I can crutch around just as if not faster than before if I dont have the prosthetic on. Im going home today so you may or may not see me cruisin around.

I finally got my slideshow copy of my leg in cd format and here are some pics of what kind of nasty shit was growing inside my leg and im happy it was amputated because in one of the pics you can see how it was growing inside of my bone even so it was gone already. These are actual pics of my ACTUAL leg.
