    My two cents.......you'll be happy with any of the current 600s. They are all very comparable in horsepower and acceleration. If you like the particular look/style of one, that's probably the bike for you. If you get the chance to ride a few of them, that's even better for your decision making.

    My order of interest would be..... Suzuki, Kawasaki, Honda, Yamaha.

          shit if your not paying for it why stop at ducati (there like the lower level italian bike) go with aprilia or MV agusta.

              my brother and i both have gsxr he has a 750 and i have a 600. for me i like the style and looks of the gsxr it would get more chicks attention 😉

                          R6 all the way...Other wise like others said if its not your money you might as well go with the higher Italian bikes. (Ducati's are sexy as hell though)...heard they aren't as good at corning though.

                              i say do what your dad said and get a rebel they are sporty and yet small and you can have a leg on that easy... or a ft-500 you got enough power for beginner not to heavy and yet your dad would let you get one
