i guess if they dont want me to run then ill never support them in any way, not a big deal. I am part of the community so i doubt it will be a problemI stopped in at MAP a while back when in Mpls. They said the track came to them and asked them to put a sport compact event together and pretty much said that they wanted it to be a sport compact exclusive event. Now, I don't disagree about the TA not being any less compact than a Supra, but I think the track owners/mgmt feel that it is more of their "traditional" type of race car (american car with a SBC V8). From what they (MAP) told me, they tried to get them to relax the rules, but the track was pretty adamant about their rule on this for this event so it was out of MAP's hands.
Just passing along the info that I have heard straight from the horses mouth.

It wasn't the best setup, but things went well for the first year I think. Turn out was really low, which sucked, but anyone who didn't go is an idiot. $35 for unlimited drag/drift/auto-x/car show and camping. They had a band that was actually decent and fireworks. I had a great time, but was really dissappointed that the turnout wasn't better.
Dave and Matt had a bit of a bad day, but nothing horrible. Hopefully some people will post some pics and that, i didn't take any.

that was hands down the most fun ive had at a event put on by forum members and not a BIR major event, Ive got some pretty funny pics i need to upload, have 3 videos of my runs in the link in my sig
And yes, to you regular dumbfucks that are all talk, imagine that you didnt show like usual and missed an all around badass event

It was a fun event, but it would have been better with a better turnout. I think starting things on Friday probably hurt that a bit.
The track was real strict on the rules, both Matt and I got talked to a couple times, I ran a best of 8.20 but the track was having none of that. So I started letting off at the 1000' cone. I ended up getting matched against the #1 qualifier the first round, he ran a 8.42 and I let off to a 8.7 something and my day was done.
I got some pretty funny pics from Fri night, I'll get some of those posted up after a while.
