As you all know moding these kinda cars is veryyy pricey... May be some time before I actually get around to doing it

There are several name brands of chips out there.. they all seem to bring the same kinda performance to the car. It all comes down to preference.

... it doesn't eat E46 M3's stock. Even AFTER proceed or other flash, it will be close between a STOCK E46 M3 ; not to mention you're going to have to do a lot of suspension work to keep up not in a straight line (adding an LSD). 335i's have some issues too that need to get resolved (and you loose your warranty w/ Proceede etc...) like fuel pump and oil cooling etc..
Don't get me wrong, both are sweet though.

wait, stock for stock the 335i has the edge in what, the 1/4 mile?
in any other kind of test, the 335i is the lesser car, and I couldn't even tell you about the quarter because it is one of the least interesting car comparisons.
