Why the FUCK didn't FPD tell the surrounding areas to be on the lookout for this car? When I called it in yesterday, they had absolutely no clue what I was talking about. The police force in this area doesn't give a shit about stolen cars. I know from experience.

The people in GF and who otherwise are in a position to help with recovering the car should probably start talking about it privately -- the perpatrators may be reading this forum.
I've seen a couple of stolen-car recovery forum threads (like on beyond.ca, i think) and if you luck out and get an incredibly stupid theif you still have to have a great network of friends and car enthusiasts willing to do a lot of legwork before the police will act.
Like i said : strategize and coordinate in a non-public forum... probably via texts or something so they are actionable in a timely fashion.
