    It's just loud.

Best fix is to just bust it open and remove the fans, then its pretty quiet.

Yeah, it'll be even quiter after like 10 minutes of heat building up. LoL.

I bought the MW2 bundle here a couple days ago and there are few things that are bothering me. The machine itself is pretty loud compared to a Wii which makes no noise at all. I was wondering if xbox's are like this? or do i need to return mine?

... if you got the MW2 bundle you have a Jasper board, which is like 5x as quiet as previous 360's.

lmao, I don't even mind my 360's noise, it's about like a computer, because, well it is?

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

You should hear the 360 fans run at 12v instead of 5v. Talk about noise.

Downloading the game disc onto your hard drive cuts down on the noise...A LOT.

i have a xenon 360 [that died] and now a jasper 360. the reduction in sound emission on the jasper setup is amazing. much quiter machine and power supply.

But yes: the 360 is a loud machine compared to the Wii, no matter what version you get. The Wii is strictly speaking, not a current-generation device, capabilty wise. This allowed nintendo to make it small, quiet, and inexpensive.

no, it was more than just fan noise. I had to go exchange it because it actually scratched up the disk. Hopefully this one will work

If you want to hear a loud machine, go get an original PS3. Good god those things were awful.
