Yea I hate it, I spray zinc primer for about 10 hours a week at my work. It doesnt come off your skin, and it will get you sick if you dont wear a mask or your filters are really bad. Usually every tuesday and wednesday I shoot zinc, my least favorite days of the week. Let me guess new flyer buss parts is what you sprayed?

Correct, I used to spray the entire frames, 2-3 full size bus frames a night. I would have to change my rubber boot covers every other day as they would get ridiculously heavy.

How is bracket racing real racing?

Seriously? There are MANY ways to lose at bracket racing:

                  Redlight = Lose
                  Too Fast = Lose
                  Too Slow = Lose
Slow Reaction = Lose (or potentially losing)
                  Car Breaks = Lose

The only ways to win are if you opponent does one of the above or if you manage to get to the finish line before the other guy without any of the above happening to you.

If I were tired of losing, I'd concentrate on making my car faster and say fuck bracket racing all together.

Ever been to a s/c event? Can you cut a .000 light? Most s/c cars are capable of running 7's and still make 170mph passes with 2-3 seconds on the throttle stop. Heads up racing is usually won by the team with the most money. How is that racing?

Race against people with similarly modified cars, no sense in loosing to a slower car, just up the league...

I disagree, I've had far more fun bracket racing than heads up. Trying to decide with only 150' of track left whether to lift for fear of breaking out or to stay in it because the other car is coming up quick and may pass is a tough choice. Being on the track at the same time (in jackpot racing) as a rail car is tough for both vehicles. One has to wait at the light for few seconds for his tree to light, the other has to hope that he dialed in properly and adjusted for elemental conditions so that he doesn't either A. Break out or B. Go to slow and get passed.

Hence the reason bracket racing was invented. To race against similar cars/classes....everyone is within a second or so of each other within a class usually. It rewards driving/split second decision making instead of fat wallets.

The downside to bracket racing, is that the only people who enjoy it are bracket racers. Bring out the average joe race fan to watch it and they wonder wtf is going on. And, even after you explain it to them, they wonder wtf is going on.

This thread could turn into a long bracket vs heads up duel, but lets not get too far off track. :bom:

That is true, except at events like the Million. Then its packed.

Wow, those are some ancient quotes your pulled up. 🙂 Turns out I was quite correct, it only took from 2006 to 2010 for you to figure out how to get your car hooked up. 🙂

I'll prob agree with your 2011 predictions, at least at Top End Dragways. I'm pretty sure that is still the pecking order there? Or did you get the car to hook up there once?

                                    :bom:

I'm still trying to figure out who this is...
And considering I don't see Nissan/Chevy in that list...
I can't help but jump to conclusions...
