Do any of you tuner wannabees even know how to do a leak down test. Obviously not since a leak down test is to check for sealing valves and rings. So stop acting like you know what your talking about, and lay off. If it wasnt for corwins matt would be with out a motor hes lucky hes getting what he got. Im sure the warranty company wouldnt mind hearing how the motor was taking out of the car for a year before they submitted a claim.I was wondering the same thing. Im still gunna go with abuse that took out the engine but hey..... what do i know? Matt is extremely lucky he is getting what he is getting.

im trying to be civil, im not trying to get into a heated debate. all im saying is that wills comment was was uncalled for. the fuse thing i dont know much about but i remember hearing a little about it and not being impressed also. sometimes flat rate works out for the customer sometimes for the tech, thats the nature of flat rate.

wow you aint got a clue what your talking about anybody can copy and paste how to test for a bad head gasket. unless the motor is totally running like shit and smoking a leak down test isnt goin to tell you shit. and in matts case his engine was running fine. plus it was a used motor from a junk yard, you got no clue how a dealership works if a tech isnt getting paid to look at it he isnt working on it. all they were suppose to do was install the used motor that was sent to them not diagnose underlying conditions.

And Brandon, since when has anything Will ever posted matter?? You know who he is and what he does....

Bad luck?

No corwin didn't save my ass. the warranty company knew the engine was pulled you dumb fuck. they don't just give $6k to just anyone. the adjuster was out looking at everything for about 3 hrs one day. But you would know that right?
Listen if any and i mean ANY sort of test drive was done they would have found the problem of NO HEAT. What does that mean you could ask. I would say poor bleeding of the coolant as the car overheated after i turned the heat on? weird, a i thought that was basics of auto maintenance.
Maybe the head gasket blew cause of that or maybe it was leaking from the get go. but don't tell me I'm fucking lucky to have this shit happen.
Now onto the fact you know everything, why does it take them weeks to finish this engine swap when it would have been a day tops for me. I know how hard it was i pulled the fucking thing.
what about the clutch issue?
what about the 2 cam sensors that were broke putting it in?
what about the valve cover which i explained i wanted replaced to the new engine not getting put on? can they not listen?
should i continue?
Brandon I'm not mad at you in any way, i know you have no control over this. It just really lame as they seem to not give a shit that it's an s2000, and fuck the rusty engine parts and scratched to shit valve cover. It's sad based on how much they got payed to do the work.

But really if you knew anything about f20c's you would know they have issues with spring retainers cracking due to the high rev's and over rev's. I can admit i missed a few gear when i was younger with the car which couldn't have helped. but it shouldn't let go at 23k that's just common sense.
How am i "extremely lucky" i paid for a $1800 warrenty that covered everything for 6yr/60,000 miles. there no i got lucky part.

I proved you wrong, now STFU and GTFO!

I never said anything about Matt's car in particular. I just pointed out how wrong you were. I can keep going if you want, I can follow every post you make on this site and make fun of you if you prefer.

I see where bubba actually makes sense..I mean i feel more like a person/man knowing everything i have is bought and paid for ON MY OWN, does this not make any of you feel like that? knowing you dont have to rely on anyone else but yourself? not having to worry bout asking your mom dad grandparents whom ever it may be for help? I will tell you one thing when it comes down to it if im offered the help i take it but pay it back. I dont get those sweet offers of vacuuming my parents house and getting a "sports car" outta the deal....
But trust me..i fucking wish

And that is ultimately THE point. You wish it could be you, so why do you make fun of the person in that position?
because its all you can do to feel better about yourself and your less fortunate situation -
