On a stock STI, Im curious what parts it takes to reliably make :

    a. 300 whp

    b. 400 whp

and how much would it cost to make both goals.

    RSX TYPE S...HAS FINALLY COME.

    BOOST....to be continued

      What year STi?
08 and newer can get 300 WHP just from a reflash.
04 to 07 will require a turbo upgrade along the lines of an 18G, along with injectors and a fuel pump, cat back and air filter....oh and a reflash.

To get to 400 WHP you will be looking at something about the size of an FP Green/Red...though a 20G would probably get you there on E85.... You will need all the mods I mentioned above as well.

Thanks for the responses...sorry if these are slightly retarded (due to my lack of research on the subject/impatience), but what are the most common reflashing types? (ive seen cobb tuning thrown around alot)

also, is there a need to upgrade to FMIC and the downpipe in order to attain the said power goals with the 18g and the 20g esq. turbos?

The down pipe yes. Full exhaust. FMIC is up to you. For 400 its probably necassary but not for 300. They do make bigger Top mounts as well.

Reflashes like Open ecu, which is a free software. If you are going with a specific goal you need to get it tuned. RS motors in the cities does do open ecu dyno tuning.

Both of these power levels are very reliable.

Plus if your going to go for 400 I would also get new spark plugs,- one step colder.
