these werent stock as they were no where near any kind of white.....6k is mostly white from what i have seen. Either way though he needs to adjust his lights i had to turn my mirrors while he was behind me it was way to bright in town.
Deal with it..... -

the ones on the car were closest to the 10k in this picture....lol dude have you seen these in real life though? Do BMW HID's look blue to you at all? They are 4300k. Evo's are REALLY blue, and those aren't 10k. STi's are purple almost and aren't 10k.
There are MANY factors that come in to play in preception of bulb color, and MANY lexus's had non-projector reflectors stock.
Either way, doesnt really matter, honda's are the worst with HID's and no distinct cut off... another stock car that blows balls and doesnt have projectors (with factory HID's) are the new escalades argh.

** im not a HID expert by all means i just found out what they were maybe 6 months ago**....all i know as these hurt my eye balls and it made it worse when he went around me and was too busy on his phone to realize where he was on the roadSo don't try to be when people with more experience than you(especially people that OWN them) try to tell you otherwise. Remember you are a newb here, so you don't have a lot of 'street cred.

who ever owns the Lexus RX 300 (might be 350 but im not sure) with the HIDs in the stock housings needs to do one of 3 things.- Get some projectors with a Horizon
- Aim them way way down
- Go back to halogens
You think you look cool with your HIDs when in all reality your a nuisance to the people driving around you. Also hang up your phone you almost hit me. But then again keep talking I don't mind if you buy me a new car. Thank You!!

I have been talking around to a few people and we were wondering if Tintmasters has any HID kits that you sell. Someone had said you did and that is why i'm asking. Also what are aproximate prices for them (i know there are different specs but take an average unit). Also if you have them im guessing you install and if so is there a fee or is it self explanitory to install on my own. Thanks, SheeranSo Im assuming you were planning an HID housing retrofit??
I honestly don't get mad about peoples headlights really, people get so worked up about them. I have HIDs in non-HID housings, I don't care and i will not change them out either. They are really close to the ground tho, and I have never had a complaint.

Most stock bulbs are 4300k, which is white. 6000k is bright blue, 8-10k is purplish.Alot of lexus and audi's look more blue then white...
Parker;299011 wrote:
Deal with it.....this.... 6k is blue, 8k is really dark blue, 10k is almost purple...
that pic u posted looks like that probably because there is no reflector or housing to project the light, the beam is completely scattered....

I actually believe ive seen the same one, and if its the one im thinking about its prolly around an 03 and they are blue like ricer headlights, not HIDs at all... It was on a beige colored one, at least the one i saw basically looked like he just bought the $20 rice headlights you can pick up at any parts store

I've never been flashed when driving a German car with factory HIDs.
Many german-spec cars have driver-controlled beam-dip controls.. at least going back to the 80s. Now a days it is all automatic... my audi has suspension and steering angle sensors and "Steers" the HID optics appropriately.
All German cars are always better than all other types of cars, and all people with aftermarket HIDs are bad people who Jesus did not forgive.

Anybody who denies it, simply has not had to drive one on a daily basis.
I'am not trying to be a Eurofan boy yuppy, but they seriously are a better car when theyre running.

I agree. Hated audi before and love the one I drive now. Subaru what?
