They are economy cars, part of why I own one, they are cheap, easy to mod, cheap insurance, etc.
My parents weren't willing to buy me a brand new BMW and than pay for me to heavily mod it out with LED lights, so I had to make do with my honda. I do enjoy going reasonably fast, and still getting great gas milage too tho, in my non-performance/econo car.
I like euro cars, im sure I will own a few at some point, but man, their owners are d-bags.

I find this incredibly ironic. This forum is known for its crude humor and ridiculous amounts of flaming that takes place. The first sign of a tool is when they say they can't do something because they don't want to, when in all reality they just don't have the skills to do so. It's a cover up. It's ok though Euro, I'm sure you will be able to run a 30 second quarter mile in the next year or two with enough practice. At least you'll be pushing your car at least 50% by then right?

Why? (I can't believe I'm getting into this conversation defending Honda...but....) They are affordable cars that respond to inexpensive modifications quite well. The replacement parts are inexpensive and readily available just about anywhere and the aftermarket is ENORMOUS. Even replacement fenders/body panels aren't that expensive, not that MOST of the modded around here are rusty...there are a few for sure, but a lot are VERY well maintained.
How many BMW's do you see w/ 200k on them? I'm sure they exist, but I HIGHLY doubt they are as common as 200k mile motors on Honda's. You do realize that Honda sells more motors than ANYONE else in the world, right? And that Indy cars use only Honda motors (last I heard it had been 3 years since an Indy Car had a motor failure during a race)....stupid economy cars, know nothing about racing heritage....
