Pretty poor promotion on the business end of the track to leave all their potential customers confused and in the dark....

Come on Nick, of all people you should know what it takes when making changes to a business. Deals don't always work out the way you want and you'd probably lose more customers if you told people something and couldn't commit than waiting for until you can confirm a business deal.

        Hallorann: No, I ain't.
Danny: Mr. Hallorann. What's in Fargostreet?
Hallorann: Nothin'! There ain't nothin' in Fargostreet. But you ain't got no business goin' in there anyway. So stay out! You understand? Stay out!

When their "off season" is 7 months they said have MORE then enough time to work out the details. Now we're talking what 30-45 days before season start and "issues" all the sudden arise and there may or may not be racing this year, thats just piss poor managment there.

My sources have told me this just arose lately, not at the end of the '09 season. That's what I'm going by, maybe that's inaccurate. A lot had to do with one of the plans for Minnesota flood diversion as it was to run between their property and the family land just to the west of the track.

That kinda stuff seems to have been the story and excuses for years. First the major highway coming threw the property now a flood diversion, blah blah blah.

Point in point if they dont hold events they dont make $$ and its crazy they have yet to still figure this out, when the prelim 2010 schedule was up i believe there was only roughly 10 weekends. End all be all their just lucky its the only dragstrip w/in 200 miles or they'd be long under by now. Year after year its some new issue/problem, someone needs to get their head out of their ass and get the organization together and running smoothly before its to late.

Why don't you step up and purchase the track, Nick?

Ha, it clearly isnt profitable hence all the issues. That and this town does not support any activities other then college sports, hence why the circle track, drag strip, horsepark, fargo force, etc are all having financial issues. They just dont draw the crowd to support the overhead.

I blame the Horse Track failing because of the tiny beers they sell.

x2, and well....I've seen more athletic 'horses' at the roller derby.

It's kinda weird too, I don't really understand it. I think it has to do with the conservative nature of the area? And by college sports, its frankly really only NDSU football, oh and maybe the Redhawks(obviously not college tho).

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!
