Drive towards grand forks... water everywhere..Not NEARLY as bad as last year at this juncture. Most of the volume of snow is completely gone and already water. Last year there were white caps breaking in the wind surround the interstate. This year I see muddy fields, with pools of water, and a ditch that's flowing pretty well.

Heritage Hills South of Fargo, 88th ave.I thought that's what that looked like. I thought they were bought out?
So that's at only 31'. wow. When I drove through out there last summer I thought it looked like the river was further down than that. -
That is what the river is under normal conditions.
All the homes originally had septic systems. After the sewer came through they connected the line to a small lift station to a force-main. Most of the manholes are under water and are taking on too much water so the pumps won't keep up.

Can you tell me a little bit more about your house-sized fort? I don't want to go to your blog. I'm just wondering what the rationale is here. Does this stay up year round from now on? What makes a water-tight seal here?He builds it every year and takes it down after the flood.

We take it apart in sections and store it...
there is 6mm plastic wrapped over the top of the wall and held down to the ground by sandbags... -
