Its kinda hard not to rent from Goldmark, as they own half the fucking town. Its not super hard to deal with Goldmark. You call the general manager and tell them that you will go to Fargo Housing Authority if they dont speed up on helping you with your problem. That has worked for me so far. Know your rights as a renter, and let your landlord you know your rights and your not fucking around, and they will usually straighten up.

The maintenance at Harmon is terrible and they are not very easy to work with, once we moved into our place it was basically like we were on our own for everything.

We started around the 1st of this year...820 7th Ave S...small place, but we are out of there now due to school being done for summer. I liked that they let us sign a 5 month lease, but thats about it. They turned over the management to RKAK sometime in April. Everything in the place was half assed.

Avoid anything Scott Nelson owns, '10th and 3rd' and '8th street flats' - the guy enters apartments with no reason and no notice before or after, doesn't care about his tenants' rights, and lies or misleads when confronted. I've never heard anything good about him as a landlord except from his own mouth. He does allow dogs, though, any size.
aaand, here's a link, it's old, but it's got all the pet-friendly listings that there were a few years ago. http://www.docstoc.com/docs/29001516/Pet-Friendly-Rental-Housing
