I've been a PS fan since the OG Playstation came out and probably always will be, although, the new "Slim" 250gig 360 does sound appealing.

You must love the 15 year outdated controller then. IMO that makes the system basically useless and unplayable.I think it fits better in the "If it aint broke don't fix it." category.
If what you say is true, then every computer in the world is useless and unusable. The keyboard has been around since 1868 when the first typewriter was patented, apparently making it incredibly obsolete, right. -

The keyboard has been around since 1868 when the first typewriter was patented, apparently making it incredibly obsolete, right. The keyboard WORKS. The fact that controllers aren't constrained by a physical shape/layout, makes this a terrible comparison. It became obsolete the second there was a better controller out there. Plus, there is another layout available for your computer, feel free to try it out. If it were better, the old one would be obsolete too.
The controller IS broken tho. Have you held an Xbox or 360 controller? I don't know about your midget hands, but it actually feels like I'm holding something in my hand with both of those. The PS1/2/3 controller feels like cheap plastic that actually hurts my hands to hold after a short period of time. The analog sticks are the most ackward thing to operate, and I have always thought so since the first "dual shock" controllers for PS1 appeared(well before I was spoiled by a Microsoft controller).
Even the Gamecube has a better controller than the PS1/2/3. If they did something similar, I'd be happier and maybe consider buying one.

I have a PS3 Controller that is shaped and formatted like a 360 Controller.

PS3's are nice for playing Media, right out of the box (Xvid, Divx...) other than that, I hate how most of the games install to the HD (takes forever). Before all of you jump on the BluRay bandwagon, how many of you actually own more then 5 BluRay discs, and have a TV that supports 1080p?
Online play is lame, once the host drops, everybody tries to migrate to a new host and most of the time everybody quits. Latency plays a big role here.
YLOD, BluRay problems, etc etc.

In all reality, Like Kossick said... Get both. Buy a Wii while your at it. I have em all and like em all for different reasons.

no need for a Wii after a while, both ps3 and xbox will be similar to that too...
