First of all, it's been all over the news(and no matter how much of a "life" you have, some grown ups realize news is important to follow) when there was a controversy over them. Also, the World Cup has been plastered all over everything, so I didn't get that from the internet either. Plus, I knew what a vuvuzela was prior to the world cup as they were around when I was a kid at football games.
