This is the first suspicious piece of the situation that should have caught everyone's attention. If he didn't have regular, positive contact with his step-children, why would he give them money? Since both parents come from wealth and fame ("His in-laws were Creole aristocrats with a colourful lineage. One member, Roberto Arias, was ambassador to Britain in the 1950s and married the British ballerina Dame Margot Fonteyn."), it seems silly that he would leave anything to them instead of his wife.

How convenient, the lawyer that owed his client $500k would become the trustee of this charity? I call shenanigans. There is way more going on here than what the headline tells you.
